Last week, we celebrated as The Mission Theatre triumphantly reopened its doors to the public for the first time in over 400 days! The incredibly successful reopening saw us welcome back socially-distanced audiences into our auditorium to see the highly-anticipated Next Stage production of The Memory of Water.
Front of house staff worked to an exceptional standard to ensure that all of our new Covid safety systems were implemented perfectly, including staggered arrival times, Track and Trace check-ins, at-seat refreshment service, and our new digital programmes.
Audiences were just as thrilled as we were. Here’s just one example of the lovely comments we have received since our re-opening:
Such a lovely evening! Really special to be back in our beloved Mission and to see it buzzing once again. You had all worked so hard to make it work with the distancing guidelines and yet managing to keep the friendly informality! And such a good show - really enjoyed it and excellent performances all round. A truly amazing feat richly deserving the first night standing ovation and great reviews. JB
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to bring live theatre back to The Mission after so long. You can buy your tickets for the June run of The Memory of Water, and all of our other upcoming shows, here.
